Ingredients:
3 lb cubed round steak
1/4 lb beef liver (chopped fine)
5 lg yellow onions (chopped)
3 cloves Garlic (chopped)
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Louisiana Hot Sauce to taste
Directions:
In cast iron pot, brown onions until real brown. Almost reoux like, stir often and don't let burn. Add water and let onions cook down twice until they are very well cooked and you have a very thick brown gravy.
Add steak, liver and seasoning and cover. Steak should produce it's own juice and you should not have to add water. Cook until meat is tender. Serve over rice.
