Date Nut Crisps

Ingredients:

1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 1/2 cups rice krispies
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs lightly beaten
8 oz pitted dates (diced)
extra nuts finely chopped
Directions:

    Melt butter in skillet over low heat. Add sugar, eggs and dates. Stir until smooth and thick. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, nuts and rice krispies. Blend thoroughly. Remove by teaspoon full, make into balls and roll over extra nuts. Put on wax paper and refrigerate quickly to set.
