Easy Shrimp Creole

Ingredients:

1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup minced onion
1 bay leaf ( crushed)
1/4 cup diced celery
1 tsp minced parsley
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
6 oz can tomato paste
3 cups water
2 cups shrimp
1 bunch chopped green onions
hot sauce to taste
added seasoning to taste
Directions:

    Melt butter over low heat. Add onion and cook until yellow. Blend in remaining ingredients except shrimp. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes. Stir in shrimp. Cook until shrimp is cooked. Serve over hot rice.
