Ginger Bread

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp ginger
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup molassas
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup shortening
Directions:

    Sift flour once, measure then sift flour and other dry ingredients together. Add egg and molassas. Mix well. Pour boiling water over shortening and then add to mixture. Beat well and our into greased 12x8x2 pan and bake 40 to 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
