Directions:
Cake
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and orange rinds. Add 3 cups of the flour. Beat well. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add slowly. Put 1/2 cup flour with coconut, pecans and dates. Add to mixture and blend well.
Glaze
Heat orange juice and suger till mixed and warm.
Pour cake mix into baking pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven and punch full of holes. Pour glaze mixture over cake and return to oven for 5 minutes.. Let cake set in pan over night.
