Pralines

Ingredients:

3 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup light karo syrup
3 cups pecans
2 tbsp margerine
Directions:

    Over medium heat cook sugar, buttermilk, syrup, and soda until they are 235 degrees. (That's soft-ball stage for anyone who knows what that means) I sure don't.  Stir constantly
    Remove from fire.
    Add margarine, vanilla, and pecans. Continue stirring until partially cooled.
    Spoon onto foil until candy sets then remove from foil and enjoy.

Serves:  About 36 medium candy's
