Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:

3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup oil
1 can pumpkin (2 cups)
2/3 cups water
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp allspice
1 cup nuts (optional)
1 cup raisins (optional)
Directions:

    Mix sugar and oil. Add eggs and beat well. Add pumpkin and water. Mix all your dry ingredients then add to pumpkin mixture. If used stir in nuts and/or raisins.
    Grease 4 #1 coffee cans or bread pans or a bunt pan. Which ever you prefer. Do not flour your pans. Fill pans half full. Bake at 350 until done. Coffee cans take approx. 1 hour. Check for doneness with toothpick test.

This is the most awesome pumpkin bread receipe I have found. The receipe is dated 1970.  I got it from a great aunt who passed away. It was in her receipe box.
